ROLE SUMMARY
Welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering the department. Answer questions, provide information and direct people to the location they need, thus creating an atmosphere that is caring, yet efficient.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Cordially greets visitors and patients upon arrival. Ascertains patients’ and/or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly
Provides badges to visitors entering the 4th floor
Provides assistance to patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services needed. Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination.
Assists patients to and from the first floor
Monitors the overall appearance of the waiting area
Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience: Clerical/Customer Service preferred
Level of Business Knowledge/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Comprehension
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
Ability to remember, understand, and apply oral and or written instructions.
Reasoning and Decision Making
Ability to plan, organize, and carry out assignments from management staff with minimal direction.
Ability to analyze situations, interpret data and make decisions that have moderate impact on immediate work unit.
Organization
Ability to organize and prioritize job duties in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
Ability to maintain accurate files and records.
Communication
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals
Physical requirements for this position include: hearing, seeing, speaking, feeling, reaching, pinching, and repetitive motions.
This position requires sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
This position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force in order to lift, carry, pull, or move objects.
