Maintains, tests, and repairs the various mechanical equipment located throughout the SR 99 Tunnel and related facilities including not limited to: fire system valve stations, building HVAC, dampers, pumps, backflows, plumbing, facility piping, fire hydrants and standpipes, and sprinkler systems.
Gas welding, arc welding, MIG (metal inert gas) welding, brazing, and fabrication with stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
Performs machine work to fabricate parts for repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's License.
Class B CDL without the air brakes restriction or ability to obtain with 6 months of hire
Two years' experience working in a trades listed below.
4 or more years working in trades responsible for maintenance of fire systems, diesel engines, pipefitting, millwright, boilermaker, or related mechanical trades (i.e. Plumbing, HVAC, Pipefitting, Mechanical systems, Fire systems, Boiler systems)
Certification as a Backflow Tester.
Working with computerized maintenance management systems.
