PACCAR is seeking a full-time Instrumentation Technician to support instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance of various test equipment at the Paccar Technical Center Engine Test Lab.

Division Information:
The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair engine test equipment such as temperature, pressure and flow instrumentation, emissions measurement equipment, fuel metering equipment, oil consumption equipment and dynamometers
- Installation and cabling of various test cell data acquisition equipment
- Engine wiring harness troubleshooting, repair and assembly
- Planning, scheduling and tracking of calibrations and preventative maintenance
- Working with suppliers to source parts and maintain spare parts inventory
- Maintain calibration gas cylinder inventory and ordering of gas cylinders as needed
- Assist building facility technicians as need with building maintenance to include working in confined spaces, air handler filter changes and removal of waste products
- Flexibility, initiative and the willingness to respond to shifting time and project demands
- Maintain the highest level of work area cleanliness and organization
- Perform duties safely and efficiently

Qualifications:
- Two or more years relevant work experience
- Experience with sophisticated test cell control systems and emissions testing equipment
- Familiarity with PLC’s with the ability to interpret ladder logic diagrams
- Ability to interpret P & ID's (Process and Instrument Diagrams)
- Understanding of Variable Frequency Drives
- Good communication and computer skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be self-directed with the ability to manage personal workload
- Flexibility, initiative and the willingness to respond to shifting time and project demands

Education:
- AA degree in Instrumentation Technology or equivalent degree
