The person in this position must have the ability to establish a working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the organization. Must understand the mechanics of working machinery, be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facilities. Ability to understand and work with work order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.
Weekend Relief Shift - Flexible as needed
Have a thorough working knowledge of mechanical operations used in the industry and be able to maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all electrical systems, equipment, and facilities.
Possess the necessary skills and aptitudes required to operate maintenance tools and related machinery.
Be able to operate all facility equipment to the degree needed for troubleshooting and testing.
Assist production personnel to maintain the flow of product.
Follow Company lockout, safety, and work standards.
Must be willing to attend any training necessary to upgrade performance.
Operate machinery in a safe manner so injury does not occur to operator or any employee in the area.
Notify supervisor of any problems that arise during the shift.
Must be willing to train any employees as assigned by supervisor.
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
State classification as a Journeyman Electrician is preferred but not required. Experience with PLC and IT communications is also preferred but not required. Proficient in ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems, maintain equipment and systems, operate machinery, understand electrical systems, proficient use of all tools relate to the trade and good communication skills. Must hold and maintain current Hampton PIT authorization and First Aid/CPR certification. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
