Job Description Summary:
In the plant this position is responsible for repair and maintenance of all equipment plant wide and for performing maintenance functions throughout the plant as assigned or directed by supervisory personnel while working under limited supervision. In the fleet service this position is responsible for performing service maintenance functions on fleet vehicles as assigned or directed by supervisory personnel while working under limited supervision.

Job Description:
The Individual must meet the following:
Thorough working knowledge of single and three phase electrical.
Thorough working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
Proficient at welding mild steel.
Thorough knowledge of plant operations and mechanical systems and equipment.
Good communicator with salaried and hourly personnel.
Has thorough knowledge of basic mechanical skills (i.e. plumbing, measuring, changing bearings, etc.).
Able to work alone and in a neat workman-like manner.
Meets the specific qualifications in one area as listed below.

Job Qualifications:
Individual must be able to:
Fulfil Line Mechanic duties in Raw Receiving, Plant I, Plant II or Co-Product.
Weld stainless steel and aluminum.
Set up and adjust cutters and Lamb guns.
Properly adjust all shakers and conveyors.
Repair all drive components on plant equipment.
Do sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.
Operate each piece of packaging equipment.
Trouble shoot, repair and rebuild the following with minimal direction and supervision: Lambpak Packaging machines; 9,000 Mirapak; Bosch packaging machines; Dynapaks; palletizers; stretch wrappers; case sealers; case settlers; Isoflo shakers; Ajax and Eccentric driven shakers; check weighers; belt conveyors; PLC's; hydraulic pumps, cylinders and accessories; product feeders and scales.
Weld stainless steel and aluminum.
Be knowledgeable of solid state electronics.
Do pipe fitting for air, water, and hydraulics.
Do sheet metal layout fabrication and installation.
Install new equipment as directed.
