Position Summary :

This position if for a hardworking individual that is on time, positive, task oriented, organized, and motivated. This job entails welding, fitting, fabrication and finishing duties primarily in the food and beverage industry. This is a high level position that will require the employee to have advanced experience and skills with precision welding of various materials including in-place welding of thin-walled stainless steel tubing systems. This position will be supervised by the foreman. This position may be subject to long hours at times to meet scheduled deadlines. We are looking for an employee who wants to build a career and grow with our company.

Structure :
Monday – Friday; 6:30 am – 3:15 pm (must be flexible)
Field work (if required): travel to job sites and support installation crews for the duration of each project

Qualifications :
Required:
- Meet the Requirements and Roles of the Mid Level Welder / Fitter – PSW3
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Must have a strong understanding of safety practices for the work environment and equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, Lifting Equipment
- Understand the principles of fitting and be able to execute with accuracy.
- High level of expertise in various welding processes and techniques.
- Experience reading drawings, schematics, and P&ID diagrams
- Must be able to Lift 50+ lbs.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required

Preferred:
Experience leading small teams
Experience working in the Food and Beverage Industry
Confined space certification and experience
Lifting / Rigging certification
Roles : The employee is expected to play a role in these areas to achieve specific targets and goals.
In-Place Welding
Safety Requirements: Understand and evaluate all safety requirements and hazards of in place welding prior to starting a job. Includes plant specific requirements and training.
Quality Welds: Ability to tack and weld in place while producing high quality welds.
Multi Positon Welding: Proficient with free hand welding, welding in any position, and welding with a mirror.
Lift Training: Trained and certified in scissor and boom lift use.
Line Tracing: Ability to trace lines and apply the proper purge welding process..
Schedule Pipe Welding
Machine Setup: Properly set up welding equipment for pipe welding applications.
Material Prep: Understanding of the prep work required such as bevel size, removal of coatings, gap specifications, and wire size.
Root Weld: Must know how to root weld, fill, and cap for full penetration.
2-Hole Level: Understanding of how to make a 2-hole level.
Stick Welding
Arc Welding Process: Clear understanding of the arc welding process and the required prep work for quality welds.
Rod Selection: Knowledge of rod selection and machine settings to achieve quality welds for various materials and thicknesses.
Polarity: Understanding of proper polarity to use.
Gap Specifications: Understanding of proper gap specifications to use for various rod and material types.
