Job Description Summary:
Provides staffing, administrative, technical, and/or specialized support to plant operations. Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. Manages the plants daily crewing needs by ensuring all departments in the plant are appropriately staffed. This position supports all departments, with a specific focus on Production and Maintenance. Must be able to exemplify the Lamb Weston values. Performs complex and moderately repetitive work assignments, and coordinates the daily administrative support and record keeping functions of the Human Resource Department to provide for effective administration of company policies and procedures.
Be subject matter expert on plant policies and laws applicable to scheduling, payroll, and attendance.
Daily Crew Sheet management.
Provide hourly plant team members with general benefits information.
Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules as well as address time off requests, and expedite workflow.
Daily review of hourly timecards and management of sick/absent reporting, as well as documenting call ins and Sick PTO/PTO requests.
Daily timecard reconciliation of hourly plant employees.
Organize HR paperwork for filing of information about company personnel
Address/assist with employee concerns and questions, and determine an appropriate course of action, either referring employees to appropriate staff or resolving situations.
Daily personal contact with all plant departments to resolve or refer questions/problems.
Greet visitors and manage visitor check in and out
Manage and organize the acquisition of temporary employees with temporary agencies, as well as entering of temp timecards and submitting payroll to appropriate temporary agency
Distribute weekly paychecks
Receive incoming calls and direct them appropriately
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and supplies
Assist & coordinate employee events, meetings, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Associate’s degree or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Outgoing customer service personality
Ability to write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook as well as other software applications as required
Knowledge of WorkLoud and Kronos strongly preferred
Effective problem-solving skills
