Job Title: Logistics / Technical Services Manager

Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing the movement of materials and production support processes established within company. It involves the integration of information, transportation, inventory, warehousing, material handling, and packaging. Strong liaison with all parties involved in stock consumption is imperative to this role ensuring smooth and accurate material movement and organization of processes to make certain of customer satisfaction. The logistics role is essential to manage continual improvement of processes such as product identification and material movement recording. This will help assist in effective management of material handling, storage, forecast, and dispatch of components, including maximization of the transport resource to minimize distribution costs. Strategic input into the onsite and external transport opportunities to ensure we are using the most cost-effective logistics, with performance evaluation systems in place.
You will be required to supervise and manage warehouse employees and service technicians, assist in the training of both the customers and fellow employees on the materials that move through the UPCO location. This would also include technical support via phone and if needed on-site visits to the customers to assist with their needs. Also included is RMA and warranty work, along with the assistance in the preparation of the repair quotes. The logistics position will be responsible for all day to day matters relative to the job function and will ensure the proper parties are made aware of any issues relative to inventory, changes in costs, customer service and any other matter which may impact the successful and cost-effective operation of the business.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of materials. 2. Coordinate and controlling the scheduling of shipments to best meet customer’s needs. 3. Allocating and managing warehouse resources according to changing needs and recommend changes. 4. Analyzing and recommend performance and improvement plans for stock management and consumption (LN), together with analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions. 5.Reviewing customer orders for completeness and accuracy then coordinating with inside sale for the proper
adjustments. 6. Provide Inside Sales Manager’s requests for information / projects. 7. Assist in both employee and customer training along with any technical support that may be needed.
8. Assist in implementing health and safety procedures. 9. Working with all the staff as a member of TEAM 10. Provide General Manager’s requests for information / projects.

Preferred Experience: Post High School diploma required. Experience in an Industrial environment, preferably with valves, pump, or other flow control products. Experience with forklift operation is preferred. Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Motivated, self-starter individual with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
