Job Description:
Primary Purpose:
CNC Machinist will control computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, control, and monitor Hass Vertical Mills CNC machines safely and efficiently.
Work to production schedule/due dates.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Perform general machine maintenance.
Participate in Continuous Improvement processes and Lean thinking.
Perform in-process part inspections with handheld MTE (Calipers, Gauge Pins, Micrometers, Bore Gauges).

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
1-3 years of experience with Hass controllers preferred.
Must have high school diploma or equivalent (GED); some college preferred. Candidates possessing equivalent experience will be considered.
Ability to hold tight tolerances (+/- .002).
Ability to read blueprints, machinist functions, set-up sheets, and sequence of operations.
Strong understanding of GD&T
Good math skills
Understand and calculate speeds and feeds.
Follow both verbal and written instructions.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Complete “repeatable” complicated set ups
Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. frequently with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compliance with general company attendance standard is required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
Must be willing to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
Work Conditions:
The job is often performed under mostly agreeable working conditions.
Moderate noise level.

Off-shift. Full time position. Swing shift Sunday-Thursday 3:30 pm-12 am. Or Graveyard.
Overtime is required as needed.
