Job Duties/Scope Of Work:
Prepare, process and coordinate work requests, prepare accurate cost estimates and obtain customer approvals related to those estimates. Coordinate work flow in the fleet services maintenance shop to ensure a steady workload to maintain backlog within targeted levels.
Assist shop manager in oversight of activities involving fleet maintenance personnel. Occasionally will be responsible for direct supervision of personnel in the accomplishment of preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
Basic knowledge in the area of equipment and vehicle repairs, equipment manufacturer technical publications.
Create and maintain a climate that encourages the commitment of all employees to meet or exceed customer expectations through continuous improvement of work processes, products and services.
Ensure the five core functions of Integrated Safety Management are utilized in the organization by establishing open communications within the work group to expedite and encourage smooth and improved safety in operations.
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 5 years experience in the administration or business field of vehicle or equipment maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft programs. Ability to obtain Field Work Supervisor qualification card within six months of start date.
Experience in managing/supervising a fleet maintenance organization. Experience in a Fleet maintenance tracking program.
