This position will function as a domain administrator for the Industrial Control Systems network architecture. The candidate will be responsible for creating and managing domains, preparing disaster recovery strategies, offering technical support to users, upgrading software, and handling user accounts, as well as providing technical support for hardware maintenance, software support services and/or technical assistance for all process computer systems, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, related digital equipment, instrumentation, and site industrial control systems. The candidate will be expected to analyze and diagnose system related problems, to include system design and failure analysis, and recommend solutions where appropriate. As well as act as a consultant, and may provide senior level expertise and analysis regarding the design, functionality and performance of industrial control systems critical to site operations.
Develop and maintain technical competency to provide timely hardware, software and/or system support for assigned systems
Create and Manage domains, group policies, user and group accounts, and disaster recovery plans
Provide guidance to assist the user in correcting computer, instrument, and network failures.
Develop enhancements for systems, prepare test data to perform unit and system testing, complete program documentation, and participate in turnover and implementation.
Develop and review maintenance, troubleshooting and acceptance test procedures.
Develop spare parts lists and initiate procurement actions.
Coordinate system support activities with equipment custodians, designers, vendors, and other support personnel.
Research programmatic system errors and recommend corrective action which may include negotiating services and establishing service policies.
Provide oversight and assist scheduling the daily activity of less experienced employees. May provide verbal direction and technical guidance.
Develop test criteria to ensure component capability and system functions.
Review system designs and recommend changes based on experience.
Diagnose and provide instructions to repair computers and peripheral equipment in either a field or shop environment.
Maintain system failure and repair service data.
Provide technical support to instrument technicians and maintenance personnel.
BS Degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, or related Engineering discipline and 2 years of related experience.
Candidate should have demonstrated experience implementing domain architecture in an Industrial Control System environment on various platforms.
Experience with ABB, Allen Bradley, and RTP platforms is desired.
Experience in support of current and legacy computer technologies in an ICS environment
