What will you do?:
Our Instrumentation Controls Technician is responsible for installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance, reliability and optimization of 5 different brands of sorters throughout Basic American Foods and Basic American Ingredients. Responsible for purchasing, installation, calibration, repair, preventive maintenance of process instrumentation devices and associated controls. Other responsibilities include:

Train other technicians and maintenance personnel on instrumentation, calibration and field troubleshooting. Use in-depth knowledge from experience, training, and technical manuals to diagnose and train others on the repair instrumentation.
Inspect, test, service, configure, calibrate, and install indicating, recording, and automatic control instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, thermometers, regulators, systems, and similar components in the BAF manufacturing plants (southeastern Idaho or Moses Lake, WA).
Operate such electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, frequency generators, and counters, data recorders, digital logic probes and oscilloscopes.

Locate part sources, estimates costs and prepares requisitions for equipment. Work with maintenance on standardization of instrumentation and documentation.
Perform preventive maintenance and optimizes performance of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical devices and instrumentation.

Utilize knowledge of PLCs, control loops, and pc interfaces in the performance of the above duties. Perform work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety procedures.

We're Looking for Someone With:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent specializing in electronics, instrumentation and control systems from two-year College or technical school
At least five years of related experience and/or additional training. Consideration may be given to equivalent proficiency gained through additional experience and practice in the field of electronics and instrumentation.
