Job Summary: Must safely and efficiently handle internal and external customer requests and issues. Must be able to take direction from supervisor and prioritize within a team and individually. Will handle various activities including but not limiting to: assisting with basic accounting functions, assisting management with processing and filing of daily work, scheduling, answering phones, etc. The ideal person in this position will be able to use the various programs within Microsoft Office. Must be cross trained to handle some of the Warehouse and Purchasing duties as well.
Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
• Internal/External Customer Service
o Answer the telephone as part of the inside office team, in a polite and friendly manner
o Respond promptly and professionally to emails
o Assist with the scheduling of meetings, note taking and sending completed minutes to all parties
o Follow up and track action items
o Assist with the implementation and management of CRM for our Sales Team
o Assist with the invoicing of customers and assisting with the processing of customer payments and making collection calls as needed
o Must be willing to roll up sleeves to help in the warehouse, make customer deliveries, filing of product samples, etc.
o Must be comfortable making appointments and interacting with the President’s calendar
o Must build strong and lasting relationships with all customers, vendors, and team members
o Must be able to learn enough about the company and our products to answer customer questions in a thorough, fast and accurate manner
o Always keep the Management team informed about progress on projects
o Remain calm, friendly and responsive under pressure
o Convey a sense of confidence and welcome to new customers, employees, and vendors
o Must be willing to work in warehouse, pick up freight, or drop off freight

o Computer literate with PC programs (Microsoft Office, Windows 7/10)

o Have basic knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping principles and terms
o Have training in computer / software applications such as MS Office
o Must be able to pass a criminal history background check and urinalysis drug test
o Must have reliable transportation, have valid driver’s license, personal insurance and pass company insurance approval.
o Typical to an office environment. Must be ok with working within an office and warehouse, reaching, pulling, walking at least a block, lifting, carrying, etc.
o Able to work hours typical business hours of 8-5 M-F, as needed, and possibly hours outside those, especially during harvest and peak times.
o Willing to schedule vacation time into non-busy season
