Set up and operate numerical control machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic work pieces by performing the following duties or other duties which may be assigned by a supervisor with the guidance of a mentor or supervisor of the area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Set up and run Okuma LB45 and LB4000 lathes as well as some secondary support operations on a manual lathe
•Ability to follow instructions and run jobs in order set from the Lead or Supervisor
•Ensure that parts are per print, work order standards are met, and daily clean up is maintained
•Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets and related technical data to determine tooling requirements
•Select and install cutting tools, mount fixtures and work pieces
•Select and set cutting tools, cutting depths, speeds and feeds
•Be proficient in use of precision measuring tools such as; micrometers, calipers, indicators and height gages
•Count, properly box and move work order, parts and magnet, to the next operation. Also, move the work order location on the computer
•Log set up and run information in daily log book
•Perform other duties as assigned

Two-year minimum on CNC lathes preferably Okuma. Must be familiar with G/M codes for basic hand edits. Able to read blueprints and measure parts using various gages including Sunnen bore gages, micrometers and calipers. Will e trained on any other equipment needed to run these machines.
Education and/or Experience
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Minimum of two years’ or the equivalent in experience as a Numerical Control Technician in the Aerospace Industry
•Aerospace Experience is preferred
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Requirements
•Must be a United States Person
•ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee
•Possess basic math skills necessary to perform machining processes; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversions, fractions to decimals, calculator functions, angles and radiuses
•Work well both independently and as part of a team under limited supervision
•Strong interpersonal and collaborative team skills
