Operate CNC Mill and/or Manual Mill equipment to produce parts in accordance with customer requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for producing parts that meet all customer and LMI specifications, and being a productive, contributing, and responsible member of his/her work team.
•Set up (includes: load Kanban, pull jobs, set up jobs, layout parts if required)
•Operation of mill (includes: set up, run first part and buyoff, run job, hand deburr and hand straightening)
•Downloads programs from PC to machinery.
•Locates and pulls tooling for jobs.
•Reads and interprets blueprints and customer specifications.
•Checks parts quality using precision measurement tools, drawings, PCMs, etc.
•Responsible for preventative maintenance on the mills
•Maintains work area to be clean and orderly.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
•Adheres to quality and safety standards.
•Works with JIT principles.
•All duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or other members of the management team.
•Must be able to work a M-F day shift position with ability to work some overtime, including weekends as needed.

Education and/or Experience
•Must have a high school diploma or general education diploma.
•One year of machining experience.
•Manual milling (specific machine) experience preferred
•Exposure to manufacturing industry (aerospace preferred).
•Thorough understanding of process flows, lead times, and lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
•Ability to use inspection measurement tools.
•Must have aptitude to learn all tasks in Work Center.
•Basic math skills
•Ability to read blueprints.
•Demonstrated decision-making ability utilizing good judgment in determining the appropriate guideline, procedure, and application to utilize in solving problems.
•Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours
•May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
