Job Summary

Maintain, repair & overhaul Company vehicle fleet and harvest machinery.

Responsibilities and Duties
•Repair, overhaul, fabricate, disassemble and reassemble vehicle fleet in and out of field.
•Maintain equipment while on shift and rebuild equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
•Responsible for all mechanical work including maintenance and repair of vans, trucks, support equipment and forklift.
•Direct the work of field harvesting crew as necessary.
•Perform manual labor such as equipment cleanup and overhaul during harvest and winter repair and maintenance period.
•Keep legible, detailed and accurate records and logs.
•Give oral and written reports.
•Teach and refresh knowledge gained from various projects.
•Load and unload parts and machinery as instructed.
•Perform a wide variety of plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and installation on vehicle equipment.
•Change tires, perform some painting of equipment.
•Perform welding as part of maintenance and repair on various pieces of equipment.
•Attend seminars and work shops on various maintenance-related subjects when required, and teach others what was learned.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
•High school graduate or GED.
•Basic mechanical skills.
•Knowledge of tools, machines, materials, and methods used in trade or craft specialty.
•Read scale drawings or blueprints to visualize objects.
•Use shop math to calculate object dimensions, material amounts needed, and material costs.
•Ability to read and follow maps to arrive at assigned location.
•Adhere to object specifications or standards.
•Basic welding knowledge (more advanced skills to be provided with on-the-job training)
•Maintain current Washington State Drivers license, with CDL (class B) endorsement with clean driving record
•Good attendance record.
•Read, write, speak and comprehend English.
•Communicate and interact well with others.
•Maintain accurate, legible paperwork.
•Timely completion of assigned tasks.
•Safety conscious at all times.
•Good housekeeping of work area.
•Learn, understand and practice Good Manufacturing Practices, as well as follow other company polices, set forth in the Company employee handbook.
