Job Summary

The Welder Fabricator responsible for cutting, forming, welding, and grinding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, sheet, angle, and tubing for store fixture manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities and Duties
•Operate press brake, shear, iron worker, welders, grinders, and hand tools independently.
•Perform welding operations for all material types.
•Perform MIG and TIG welding operations of high complexity.
•Provide design feedback to engineering staff on complex designs.
•Provide training as needed to staff.
•Preps material for the paint or powder coat process.
•Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of shop equipment.
•Adheres to all shop safety procedures.
•Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
•Requires a basic knowledge of blueprint layouts and symbols. Requires a working knowledge safe work habits.
•Requires sufficient human relations skill to convey information and maintain good working relations with team members
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
•High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required, with a minimum of 1-year welding and fabrication experience
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Attention to detail while focusing on multiple tasks
•Ability to perform welding and fabrication duties equally
•Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
•Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
•Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
•Strong problem analysis and customer service skills
•Able to perform basic math, exercise independent judgment, and use discretion
•Familiarity within a manufacturing environment is desired; understanding of lean manufacturing is a plus.
