JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Maintenance position helps maintain a fully-functioning and clean facility by ensuring the grounds, buildings, machinery, and appliances are kept in a safe condition by following an established maintenance program. He or she is responsible for all maintenance procedures and repairs. A representative list of duties and responsibilities is outlined below.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED (with further technical coursework preferred) and at least three years of general maintenance experience. In addition, he or she must have a general mechanical aptitude, be experienced with the use of hand tools and other general maintenance equipment, and have a strong understanding of and willingness to follow all safety rules and guidelines. Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, painting, and surface installment is preferred. Fluent English speaking and writing skills and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs routine inspections and maintenance for the grounds, facility, and equipment following an established maintenance plan, which may include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, automotive, painting, grounds/building upkeep, and other tasks as required and/or qualified
Prioritizes maintenance and repair tasks with the safety of patients, residents, staff, and visitors in mind
Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
Completes any reports or logs
Responds to emergency situations

QUALIFICATIONS & BENEFITS
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Experience with basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and surface installment preferred
Knowledge of and willingness to follow safety rules and guidelines
Able to deal with elevated stress and cope with circumstances dangerous to self or others
Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record preferred
Insurability to operate agency vehicles preferred
Within 30 days of hire, must provide evidence of tuberculin skin test; child/adult CPR and First Aid certification; HIV/Aids, Airborne, and Blood-borne Pathogens training; and Cultural Diversity Training
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Three years of general maintenance experience required
