A Desktop Engineer in Image Management will manage, analyze, create, and modify desktop applications. This position requires expertise in SCCM and configuration modifications. The desktop engineer will lead efforts in planning, coordinating, and executing complex desktop projects. This role provides high level technical support to Lamb Weston staff. This position requires strong communication skills and will interact with various levels of IT. An individual in this role will be relied upon to improve the overall desktop experience and ensure that the Lamb Weston is keeping up with the latest technologies.
Manage/create desktop image requirements
SCCM management (requirements, facilitation, package creation, management)
Vendor management for PC images (image development and deployment)
Ability work in an environment with 3000+ end-user compute devices
Provide project leadership for 3-4 projects annually
Provide leadership in the End User Compute (EUC) environment
Interact with various IT staff and business users
Create and maintain suitable environment for deploying images
Propose, design, and implement enhancements and additions to current environment
Maintains relevant training follows and follows best practices in application and system environments
Skills & Experience:
Education: BS/BA in computer science or related field, or experience sufficient to be able to perform the role
Experience: Requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience in image management
Other: Must be able to manage executive to plant system needs, requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to lead virtual meetings.
Travel: Less than 10%
