Catholic Charities provides a myriad of vital services in communities through its network of agencies: Catholic Family & Child Service, Catholic Charities Housing Services and the St. Vincent Centers.
Although rooted in a Catholic tradition that shapes its core mission of service to all, it exists within a pluralistic community. Perhaps as many as 85% of the agency's staff is non-Catholic, although that figure is not tracked. Similarly, the vast majority of those being served are not Catholic. Today, those continuing to write the history of the agency include a variety of people of good will, Catholic and non Catholic alike, who are called by many reasons to serve.

What you can expect as a Data Submission Specialist....
The Data Submission Specialist offers accurate data submission, to relay accurate and timely information to management, staff and other identified end users. This position will work both independently and part of a team to monitor and complete expected data analysis and quality assurance assignments. This position is expected to complete work in a timely, professional manner consistent to data submission standards.
Reviews client enrollment data and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with federal, State BHO/RSN and county regulations.
Gathers data, prepares reports for posting accurate data
Compiles, reviews and sorts documents, verifies accuracy of data, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
Contacts originators of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data
Reviews error reports and enters corrections into computer system.
Runs all provider ones and imports or compares them to EHR CareLogic.
Files or routes sourced documents after entry
Updates client coverage information into EHR from Provider One and/or source documents.
Reads all progress notes, runs clinician daily summary sheets and compares duration, service codes and location code to note written content
Verifies that all data entered is correct before posting services
Posts all services in a timely fashion to meet BHO/ASO/MCO guidelines for Outpatient and other Mental Health Services.
Continuous knowledge of CPT codes and each code description.
Assist with medical records as needed
Provides backup for billing staff as needed
Will participate in BHO/ASO/MCO meetings for data updates as needed
Will keep track of clinical error rates and report to supervisors as needed
Will have knowledge of Service Encounter Reporting Instructions and will keep track of changes
Assure discreet handling of all business
Practice confidentiality consistent with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 in accordance of agency policy
What Catholic Charities expects from you....
High School Diploma, Required
College Degree or Certificate of Completion (Computer Science, Behavioral Analytics, Finance, Accounting) - Preferred
2 years’ experience with EHR Systems (CareLogic QualiFacts experience preferred)
Knowledge of State Data requirements related to community Mental Health
Pleasant, welcoming and friendly demeanor with staff and clients
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of office practices and procedures
Detail oriented and able to multi-task
Computer word processing using Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Experienced with the use of standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, fax, phone, calculator, TTY, and/or other equipment found in work unit.
Maintain positive, team-oriented service attitude toward clients and staff.
The ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
Licenses, Registration, Or Certification:
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and required minimum liability insurance
