Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager of IT infrastructure, the IT Desktop Support position will provide day-to-day desktop support for all Peak employees, including those working remotely or in satellite Peak offices. This IT Desktop Support position will also be involved in 24 hr on-call responses to critical user issues that occur with Peak RC employees.

Major Duties:
•Provide desktop support to all Peak staff either in person or via phone for all company-supported applications, including set-up and overview for new employees and on-going training for all.
•Install, support and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, software and/or network problems (wireless, printing, switches, etc).
•Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.) and make corrections as needed.
•Assist customers with software issues, including commonly used client applications (e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations)
•Ensure the reliable operation of desktop support equipment
•Maintain an accurate inventory of all desktop systems
•Communicate ongoing and repetitive customer issues to senior technical staff
•Advise staff on appropriate action to ensure computing needs are met.
•Document resolutions for future reference.
•Work one-on-one with staff on application projects.
•Provide recommendations on company application purchases as requested.
•Assist IT and other departmental employees with projects and support.
•Maintain an accurate inventory of all workstations, laptops, printers, etc.
•Decommission outdated equipment
•Other duties as assigned.
•Participate in all call rotation
•Assist with evening shift changes
•Make patch cables and assist with wiring.
•Document changes in a formalized change management system

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
•High school diploma and related IT certifications resulting in demonstrated ability to perform major duties.

Experience/Skills:
•1-4 years current work experience in an information technology role with an emphasis on end-user service in a medium to large company.
•Experience administering Active Directory to include contact and distribution lists in an enterprise environment.
•Experience in supporting desktop hardware and software for more than 100+ users.
•Experience with Microsoft desktop operation systems, XP, 7, or 8
•Experience working in a regulated industry.
•Experience with Cisco VOIP phones.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently.
•Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a team environment.
•Experience using windows image deployments.
•Experience with Microsoft office suite 2013
