Our Workforce Information Technology Services (WITS) Division supports our mission by managing, developing, supporting and maintaining our computer systems. We also support web technologies, network and data communications, as well as mainframe security and data.
We are in need of a Field Support Technician (ITT2) that will be the first line of contact for issues related to our IT systems. Your high level of customer service will ensure the agency's desktop and infrastructure equipment are highly functioning. You will also ensure the timely resolution of issues and service requests by coordinating solutions with other IT support groups.

As a part of our team, you will assist with providing customer and desktop end user support for local and statewide IT systems.
Some of what you'll enjoy doing:
•Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving reported system incidents for end users throughout the state.
•Installing and configuring hardware such as computers (PC's), laptops, tablets, Chromebooks and other desktop hardware as required.
•Reconfiguring, installing and moving desktop computer equipment and printers.
•Responding to requests and incidents from customers submitted via telephone, email and Remedy tickets.
•Assisting with inventory tasks, such as tagging equipment and logging equipment in tracking system.
•Coordinating and assisting with customers and Facilities on site relocations, new sites and large department moves.
•Two years of experience with consulting, installing and/or maintaining IT Infrastructure devices and PCs/Laptops/Tablets and general technical support in IT.
•Experience with SCCM, MS Active Directory, MS Windows operating systems and MS Office suite.
OR •Combination of education and/or relevant IT experience.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: •Certification in ITIL, A+, and N+
•Experience with ticketing systems for incident, problems and defects.
•Knowledge of systems security issues.

Other Information •As a condition of employment, the successful candidate accepting this position must comply with the Union Security clause contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Washington and the Washington Federation of State Employees.
