The Department of Corrections (DOC) Correctional Industries (CI) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the role of a full time, permanent Information Technology Specialist 5 (ITS5) within the Administrative Operations Division - Information Technology. This position is located at DOC Headquarters in Tumwater, Washington and frequently travels throughout the state of Washington to various site locations, and may be eligible for working from an alternate location.

Note: This position may be filled as an ITS4 (in-training) with a twelve (12) month in-training plan to reach the goal class as an ITS5.

ITS4 Salary Range: $4,857 - $6,372
ITS5 Salary Range: $5,358 - $7,032

Duties:
In collaboration with the associate Microsoft (MS) Dynamics Administrator, you will ensure effective implementation, standardization, and troubleshooting of all matters relating to the Dynamics application suite, specifically Great Plains (GP), in support of CI's mission. This position is specifically responsible for system administration, configuration, data management, and the development and maintenance of business solutions related to Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Some of what you will do:
Provide multi-tiered maintenance and operational support of the Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains application and relative systems for CI stakeholders.•Management and review of security logs and table permissions framework.
•Perform MS Dynamics compliance center configuration, administration, and maintenance.
•Install and configure all aspects of the MS Dynamics software family.
•Technical environment management and architectural support.
•Move MS Access functionality into Dynamics GP.

Provide project coordination and key operational solutions for the MS Dynamics systems across multiple agency departments.•Develop, test, train, and support real, functional solutions.
•Design, develop, and test plans for MS Dynamics security implementation.
•Conduct monthly system maintenance, upgrades, and system lifecycles.
•Create and maintain infrastructure documentation

Consult with business and technical staff to provide support.

Respond to "emergent" help tickets according to Service Level Agreements maintaining details using EasyVista Service Management tool.

Monitor server and application operations.

In-Training hiring at the ITS4 level, training and developing employee to the ITS5 level to satisfy the needs of DOC IT and DOC CI.

The Duties of the position include:

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
To qualify at the ITS5-level: •High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Four (4) years' information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, and maintaining computer software applications (such as MS Dynamics GP) and/or developing and maintaining databases, directing IT projects, and/or providing customer support.
•One (1) year of experience installing, configuring, and administering MS Dynamics GP 2013 or newer.
•Working knowledge of MS SQL 2012 or newer.
•Working knowledge of project and time management.
•Knowledge and experience using MS Access 2010 or newer.
To qualify at the ITS4-level with a twelve (12) month in-training plan to reach the goal class of an ITS5: •High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Four (4) years' information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, and maintaining computer software applications (such as MS Dynamics GP) and/or developing and maintaining databases, directing IT projects, and/or providing customer support.
•Working knowledge of basic accounting and manufacturing practices/processes.
•Working knowledge of MS SQL 2012 or newer.
•Working knowledge of project and time management.
•Knowledge and experience using MS Access 2010 or newer.
DESIRED: •Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the U.S. Department of Education or foreign equivalent.
•Professional experience with PowerShell Scripting version 3 or version 4.
•At least one of the following professional certifications as defined by the Department of Defense 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, or SSCP.
•Professional accounting experience, both an application and supported unit.
•Knowledge and experience in inventory control and/or manufacturing software and associated processes.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: •Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
•Complete a criminal disclosure form prior to employment, and submit to a criminal history background check.
•Successfully complete within mandated timeframes, employee orientation and all other mandatory annual, in-service, and other required training.
•Provide physical residential address and home telephone number to the Department of Corrections.
•Become familiar and comply with all DOC policies and procedures and Collective Bargaining Agreements as applicable.
•Must pass pre-employment drug test.
•Willingness and ability to occasionally work in excess of (40) hours per week.
•Required to sign and comply with the IT Confidentiality Agreement.
