This is a Volunteer/Bereavement Support Staff position within the Home Health and Hospice department. This role is vital in ensuring that our volunteers maintain competency, are scheduled appropriately and their contacts are documented accurately. The bereavement program also requires regular contact with the bereaved and mailing on a customized schedule. In addition, the role will be working in our medical record scheduling volunteers, documenting, and scanning. Also will be working within Microsoft Word, developing documents and letters. The Support Staff is responsible for providing essential day-to-day support to their supervisor and other department staff to assure efficient operations of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required, AA/Technical degree or experience preferred.
Experience: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer applications required.
Level of Business Knowledge/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Clerical/Customer Service required. May need to understand medical terminology and medical charting if applicable to department or work duties. Bilingual preferred.
