Rainier Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager/Head Mechanic
Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment, machinery, and processes. Assist employees in
proper operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Maintain accurate records involving
installation, maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
Must be able to work with sprockets, chains, variable speed belts, and gears. Will be required to
perform mechanical repairs on all equipment; to include, but not limited to, gear boxes, air
compressor, bearings, lubricants, valves, filters, regulators, pumps, fluid storage devices, calculations
pertaining to fluid power, single and three phase power, various test instruments for voltage,
amperage, resistance and continuity.
Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret parts manuals to assure that correct parts are used. Must
be able to use various shop machines: welding torch, cutting torch, saws, presses, grinders, etc. Must
be able to fabricate parts and equipment from stock. Use ladders, as needed, to access machinery.
Reach, crawl, kneel, etc., and move various components of the machinery and facility to effect repairs
and general maintenance. Requires operation of forklift and company motor vehicles as needed.
5 years of experience as maintenance mechanic in an industrial environment
24V DC control, 480 V 3-phase, 220 V 1-phase, 110 V 1-phase
Experience with soft starts and drives (programming)
Diagnose electrical problems and machinery
Able to read electrical schematics
Familiarity with extrusion and plastics reprocessing equipment
Basic knowledge of chillers and cooling towers (& closed loop cooling system)
Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally
