Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma/GED and graduation from a medical assistant program.

Experience:
Six months experience in a healthcare setting required; experience as a certified medical assistant preferred.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration:
CPR certification within 3 months of employment. Washington State: Current license as a Medical Assistant/Certified for Washington State. Pass the mandatory 8-hour Blood Borne Pathogen training within 1 month of hire. Oregon State: graduation from an accredited medical assisting program and documentation of passage of: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant, AMT Registered Medical Assistant, NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, or NCCT National Certified Medical Assistant Certification/ Recertification Examination.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:
Bilingual English/Spanish. Demonstrates the ability to communicate at level 10 on the ALTA language proficiency scale.
