The Revenue Cycle Representative I is responsible for accurate registration information, performing and obtaining payer financial coverage verification, service approvals, and utilization requirements. Actively participates in problem solving and recommends methods of improvement. Analyzes and performs efficient account activity research, identifies solutions and initiates appropriate course of action. Competently performs relief and backup coverage for team/group. Manages accounts in a timely manner. Performs accurate system entry of account information. Evaluate own performance and strive for improvements. Continuously look for ways to improve process, procedure, and workflows. Participate in developing and learning new procedures. Organize work to make optimum use of time and abilities. Work and plan with co-workers for times when cooperative effort is needed. Demonstrate effective communication skills. Performs other related work and support activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Experience: Experience preferred in medical payer coverage and referral requirements.
· Level I: Entry Level, novice experience.
· Level II: At least one year in current position or prior equivalent experience, proven competence in job functions, other criteria as developed by manager (e.g., exams, certifications, other).
· bLevel III: Master of functions, serves or is capable of serving as team lead, mentors/assists other staff.
Level of Business Knowledge/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Medical terminology/Clerical/Customer Service required. Understanding of ICD 9, ICD 10 and CPT codes preferred.
