We currently have an opening for a Human Resource Generalist to provide support to two (2) manufacturing plants in Yakima and Moses Lake Washington. These facilities manufacture packaging products for local and national customers. This position is based in our Yakima, WA manufacturing plant and involves travel on a weekly basis.

We are looking for a highly motivated, engaged, committed individual that has an interest or background in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.

The Human Resource Generalist will work collaboratively with the Regional Human Resource Manager to provide superior human resource support to our employees and work as a business partner in achieving plant objectives. This position will support a broad range of human resource activities including leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, equal employment, labor and employee relations, employee benefits and compliance. This is a “hands on” position that requires interaction and visibility with all levels of the organization.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in degree in human resources, business or a related field and have three to six years’ experience in a multi-faceted Human Resources role, preferably in a manufacturing environment represented by a union.

Successful candidates must be willing to be flexible as it relates to work hours and work location during the week. The complex HR Generalist must be customer focused, have excellent problem solving, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate can demonstrate a bias toward action and an ability drive for results while managing shifting priorities in an ambiguous environment. The HR Generalist is a strategic business partner and must be comfortable standing alone and demonstrating managerial courage to address and solve complex human resource issues. Experience with state of Washington labor and employment is preferred.
