Job Description:
NATURE AND SCOPE: This position is responsible under close supervision to provide electronic and electrical maintenance. Operates, troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment, process control systems, and electronic instrumentation including PLC’s.


Assist with install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and calibrating electronic equipment and components associated with process control systems, analytical equipment, measurement and other control devices throughout the plant.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and downtime planning tasks. Utilize local area network and software tools such as databases, email and spread sheets to perform these responsibilities.

Maintains, repairs, and installs plant lighting.

Communicate and interact with all employees in a respectful and professional manner.

May be required to clean and/or paint equipment.

Utilize electrical/electronic prints/schematics, ladder logic, plant computer systems, current National

Electrical Code, Washington Administrative Code, testing equipment and tools to complete assigned tasks.
Complete assignments in a timely manner.

Attend seminars, workshops and schools on electrical maintenance related subjects.

Keep legible, detailed, and accurate records and logs, and provide oral and written reports as instructed.

Load/unload parts and machinery as instructed.

Keep facility operating and minimize down time.

Work safely at all times.

Additional responsibilities as assigned.


Associate's degree or equivalent certifications, military training or technical school; and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to test specific elements of overall systems and determine best course of action to implement effective corrections.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

Must have a working knowledge of basic electrical safety practices.

Must have an understanding of DC voltage systems (0 to 240V) and AC voltage systems (24 to 480v).

Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Knowledge and experience in the areas of basic mechanics, hydraulics, control valves, pneumatics, schematic diagrams, maintenance, electrical components including solid state controls, motor power, control wiring, and basic process control.

Good working knowledge of processing equipment and maintenance procedures.

Must have good computer skills.
Work independently with little or no supervision.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Read, write legibly, speak and understand English.

Understand and follow instructions.

Meet or exceed job duties & responsibilities.

Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.

Communicate and interact with all employees in a respectful and professional manner.

Ability to work overtime/weekends and rotate shifts, as assigned.

Basic math skills.

Obtain and possess a current Forklift Certification.

Furnish own hand tools and keep clean and in good repair.


Sit, bend, crawl, twist, balance, stand, squat, climb stairs/ladders, crouch, walk (possibly on uneven grounds), kneel, stoop, push, and pull.

Push and pull at various heights.
Reach from waist to shoulder heights frequently.

Manual and finger dexterity.

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Able to distinguish colors.


Work in hot, cold and noisy environments, inside and outside.
Work above and below floor levels.

Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electric shock; and vibration.

May occasionally work in narrow passageways, confined spaces and at protected heights.
Frequently work on wet/slippery floors.
