CREATIVE CONTENT DESIGNER:
This is a full-time, year-round position in the Marketing/Communications Department. This position will report to the Director of Admissions & Marketing.
The Creative Content Designer is responsible for advancing Perry’s mission and strategic vision through working as an integral part of the marketing and communications team. The Creative Content Designer collaborates in varying capacities on the design of marketing materials that brand and promote the school, both in print and digital delivery formats, working closely with the Director of Admissions & Marketing, and taking assigned projects from start to finish. This position collaborates with colleagues throughout the campus departments and administrative offices and manages, creates, implements, integrates, assesses and strengthens—on an ongoing basis—the school’s visual identity and the impact of its visual communications.
Duties are performed in a school environment. Working effectively and collaboratively as part of a team is a must.
This is an exempt, full-time, regular position.

Associate degree or certificate of completion from an accredited career school.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in related field.
Fluent in the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Experience in photography, including camera skills, set-up, lighting, composition and editing
Fluent in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn).
Demonstrated conceptual graphic design ability across campaign materials as shown through portfolio.
Occasionally will be required to drive on behalf of Perry Technical Institute. Employee must possess a working vehicle, hold a valid driver’s license, have an acceptable driving record, and produce proof of insurance.
Willing to submit to a drug test.
Experience in marketing and graphic design for an educational institution.
Experience in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Rush and basics of videography.
Experience editing and managing website content.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comfortable with taking initiative, working independently, and able to work under minimal supervision and in collaboration with others as needed.
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Create, promote, and maintain an effective and consistent overall look and feel for the school’s visual communications.
High level of understanding of design concepts, principles, processes, color theory, and typography.
Provide ongoing support for the brand initiative while maintaining the school’s brand guidelines.
Design and produce marketing and promotional materials for the school, which includes banners, brochures, posters, invitations, programs, signage, postcards, templates, mailers, event publicity, advertisements, and other materials, both in print and digital formats.
Create and maintain organized schedules and procedures for all jobs and the management of project timelines.
Regularly meet with associates from various administrative offices and departments to determine design needs and recommend possible solutions.
Manage and create daily content for multiple social media platforms updating various social media accounts and monitor all responses, mentions, social chatter, and engagement.
Design and manage content for external digital reader board.
Manage third party printing vendors, including conducting press checks for printed communications and coordinate with their onsite printing staff to ensure appropriate levels of production quality and identify and resolve any actual or potential issues.
Estimate and verify the cost of printing projects, verify billing, and manage purchase orders and project delivery.
Manage multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously.
Maintain ongoing awareness of graphic design industry trends and developments.
Other duties as assigned.
