Reports to: Store Manager
The Sales Assistant/Service Admin is responsible for providing administrative and clerical assistance to Sales Team and the store Service Department. Assisting with trucking dispatch and inventory review and reconciliation.
•Assists Sales team and ensures information is accurate and delivered timely to the Finance Department.
•Assist with the work orders for trucking, including accurately post time to work orders.
•Assist with and ensure traffic tickets are complete.
•Coordinates pre-deliveries and communicates with Sales and Service regarding equipment arrival and departure.
•Work with Trucking Assistant to obtain proper trip permits.
•Coordinate local driver's daily trips.
•Manage the work order process for the Trucking Department, include opening, editing and closing.
•Input mileage, track mileage and ensure proper payment for mileage.
•Assist Service Department with Work Order closing if needed.
•Manage telephone calls quickly and courteously.
•Assists Inventory Manager with inventory audits.
•Assists in clerical responsibilities as time allows and as requested by management.
•Adheres to all Agri-Service Standards.
•Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.
•May accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Agri-Service's strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.
•Works within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft office software.
•Working ability to answer phones and fax machine.
•Organized with strong planning, time management and efficiency in work completion.
•Must be detail oriented.
•Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Education and Experience:
•Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
•One to two years or comparable office work.
•Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
•Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
•Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
