Job Description:
The role of the Applications Analyst is to provide a wide range of computer application support, including responding to user’s questions, problem analysis and resolution, maintenance, enhancements, documentation, and training.

Conducts user training sessions and assists in development of training curriculum. Develops advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities related to primary assigned systems and applications. Develops IS operating procedures for primary assigned systems and applications. Assists in process and workflow analysis as needed to improve system utilization and user productivity. Keeps all Departmental Managers and Supervisors informed as to new or revised programs and procedures. Through attitude and example, demonstrates Memorial’s expectations for customer service. Participates in education and job-related programs and training sponsored by the hospital, and maintains an appropriate level of responsibility for updating skills. Expands technical expertise in secondary assigned systems and applications. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Participates in system selection activities and coordinates with vendors.

•Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or other analytical field preferred.
•Experience: Previous experience in computer system development, installation or support preferred.
•Application Analyst I: Basic to intermediate level knowledge and skills.
•Application Analyst II: Intermediate level knowledge and skills. Proven competence with job functions. Previous experience in applications support.
•Application Analyst III: Advanced knowledge and skills. Works on complex projects, may act as a lead.
•Sr. Application Analyst: Extensive knowledge and skills. Considered an expert in field, able to provide technical leadership to staff.
