Job Description:
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for inspection, preventative maintenance, diagnosis and repair of all route in Central Washington.

•Perform Preventive Maintenance and Annual Safety Inspections. Lube and change all Vehicle fluids, change drive belts, hoses and lights on Gas and Diesel Route Trucks
•Required to change out water pumps, fuel pumps, alternators, starters, radiators brakes, exhaust systems, batteries, and other engine assemblies and parts associated with the safe operation of all equipment
•Required to maintain/replace Brake chambers, slack adjusters, brake shoes, drums on Air Brake vehicles
•Must be able to re-assemble engine components to overhauled engines and reinstall in vehicle
•Must be able to travel to perform Preventive maintenance and any other repairs necessary at the Depot locations
•Maintain complete service records and documentation
•Assist other mechanics as needed
•Perform clean-up of equipment, parts and work area as needed
•Support and contribute to maintaining a safe environment, promoting accident prevention and reporting potential hazards
•Adhere to and support the Companies Core Values
•Additions duties/responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
•Must have 3 years’ experience Maintaining, Diagnosing, and Repairing Diesel Trucks, and Gasoline power vehicles
•Must have a High School Diploma or GED
•Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
•Must be able to perform minor welding and fabrication
•Must be certified for Air Brake repair and DOT air Brake inspection and oversee all DOT requirements
•Must be able to safely operate various hand and power tools, engine hoists, jacks, ladders, and general truck mechanic tools and equipment
•Must have good oral and written communication, ability to operate Vehicle Computer diagnostic equipment
•Must have experience working both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environment
•Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•Must have high attention to detail and good judgment
•Must have own tools, company provides Diagnostic and special tools
•Must join Teamsters Union upon hire.
