Job Title: Welder/Fabricator
Supervisor: Jay Coil
Regular Hours: Full Time
Location: Heppner, OR
Wage: DOE/Negotiable

Overall purpose and objective of this position:
Jay Coil Fabricating offers high quality welding and fabrication services. Jay Coil Fabricating has built a reputation for high quality flatbeds, bumpers, head ache racks and other specialized applications.

Scope of Work
The successful candidate will be asked to complete the following:
• Cut, clean and process parts for fabrication
• Use of Mig, Tig, and other welding practices
• Help implement lean manufacturing and efficiency programs

Preferred Skills
• Three years minimum welding experience or certified welding training
• Ability to read provided cut lists
• Basic understanding of welding
• Experience reading and working with prints/schematics
• Ability to weld pipe, sheet metal, and structural steel

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
All employees are required to wear eye and hearing protection while in the manufacturing area. At all times use guards on grinders and a face shield while doing any type of grinding. Protective clothing is to be worn at all times such as coveralls or shop jackets unless approved by management. Gloves must be worn at all times while welding. Either all leather shoes or boots must be worn at all times.
