Under the direction of the Director of Plant Services & Security, the Support Services Assistant documents and reports purchasing activities for Plant Services, BioMed, Telecommunications, Safety & Security in Yakima and Toppenish.
Continuously answers, transfers, or refers all incoming calls.
Frequently dispatches maintenance, and safety calls for Support Services. Maintainer of the Work Order System.
Continuously verifies and processes orders, invoices, and maintains adequate inventory, utilizing the HSS ordering system.
Continuously monitors and maintains required regulatory data sustaining continual readiness.
Continuously provides secretarial support for the department director as required.
Continuously monitors utility bills & usage, reporting findings to the director.
Continuously records and tracks Kronos entries for correctness.
Occasionally coordinate cell phone replacement and services for Yakima and Toppenish Facilities.
Performs other related work as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Ability to use a computer including WordPerfect, MS Windows Office with Word, Excel, and Access, Power Point, Outlook, Internet, Visio, and an Autocad reader program, digital camera programs, Kronos, Publisher, and Pulse.
Ability to gather, organize, and generate reports from data sources
Ability to organize, coordinate, and monitor multiple activities to reach a desired outcome
Ability to interact in a friendly, positive manner with all customers, patient, and family contacts; in person and on the phone
Ability to work independently and be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently and possess strong problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
Ability to work effectively in stressful situations
Ability to understand and use multiple line digital phones and Meridian Mail systems
Ability to use normal office equipment including calculator, labeler, Fax machine, scanner, 2-way radios, and cellphone.
Associates degree in office administration or related field including Microsoft Office Pro.
Two years’ experience in office setting preferred
