As an HR Coordinator for Novolex Shields you will provide support to the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Department.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls, emails, and assists walk in guests and employees.
Recruits employees for all hourly positions.
Welcomes and onboards new hires through all required forms.
Completes assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, turnover ratios, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information assigned.
Provides recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs.
Handles inquiries for unemployment from the Employment Security Department.
Corresponds with the ESD on unemployment claims, tracks all unemployment claims and hearing statistics.
Assists in informing new employees of Human Resource policies and programs as needed.
Performs general office support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.
Shields employees are expected to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace at all times. Each employee considers food safety and consumer safety while preforming work.
Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.
At least one year of related experience in a Human Resource position.
Basic understanding of Human Resource functions and record keeping requirements.
General knowledge of E-Verify, FMLA, ADAAA, and Washington State laws.
