Position Summary:

The Recruiting and Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations Human Resources department


Assists and backs up the Talent Acquisition Specialist by providing support that may include, but is not limited to:

Assist with filing applicant documents
Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interviewing process that will include management of many calendars and schedules
Attending job fairs and/or other external recruiting/retention events
Event scheduling and special projects and other duties as assigned
Provide overall administrative support to the HR and Recruiting staff that may include, but is not limited to:

Process incoming mail
Creating and distributing documents
Establishes, maintains, and closes employee personnel files in compliance with applicable organization, audit, and legal requirements
Participates in audits of personnel files or other HR programs/procedures
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of digital personnel files
Assist in special projects as assigned, participates in administrative staff meetings, recruiting events seminars, and attends other meetings as required.
Prepares agenda and maintains notes for each HR team meeting
Provide administrative support for HR Director and HR Manager
Assist with new employee orientation (e.g. on-boarding, training employees in Paycom, new employee badges, etc.)
Verifies and files I-9 documentation according to Federal guidelines
Assist in processing monthly background checks for Behavioral Health staff
Performs other duties as required and assigned

Job Requirements:

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of the Human Resources/Recruiting Assistant position. Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring medium physical exertion, talking and hearing and adequate vision on a continuous basis to perform the jobs essential requirements.

Non-Physical Requirements:


Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred; a combination of education and experience many be substituted for formal education.

Two years experience in Human Resources or related field
Experience working in a non-profit organization is highly desired
Excellent Customer Service experience is required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and document with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), payroll management, and/or similar computer applications
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy
Licenses, Registration, Certification

Valid Washington State drivers license and required minimum liability insurance
Employment is conditional upon:

Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
