Covanta is looking for an Electrical & Instrument Technician to be based at its Stanislaus, CA facility.
We seek a dedicated individual who will handle routine and emergency maintenance of the facility's electrical and control systems and equipment, as well as perform maintenance work related to the boilers and its associated electrical and control equipment.
Individual must have at least three years of experience as a Maintenance Instrumentation/Electrician in a power plant or a similar field. In addition the candidate must have an excellent safety wherewithal and environmental stewardship.
Strong working knowledge of 120V to 60 kV, AC switchgear, MCC controls, relay logic coupled with the ability to work from P&ID's and schematics for electrical equipment installation or troubleshooting work. It is preferred that the candidate will have experience with maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers. Must be able to use a computer for the creation of word, excel and emails for communications. Must have high school diploma and/or formal technical training and be available for call-outs when necessary.
