POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant fills a support role for various departments within the plant facility. This role will primarily be responsible for helping ensure the day-to-day operations of the office environment run efficiently and effectively while providing administrative support to multiple departments within Paragon as needed. This position will be performed under established guidelines and company procedures.



RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

General administrative support duties such as checking the mailbox daily, organizes/assembles incoming and outgoing departmental mail, completing other clerical tasks as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
Performs receptionist duties which include operating the main switchboard to screen and process incoming telephone calls promptly and politely, directing calls to appropriate parties and taking messages when needed
Greets plant guests, including applicants, ensuring they are welcomed and checked in and appropriate parties are notified
Provides administrative support to the Shipping department including monthly inventory assistance
Assists Plant HR/EHS Manager with human resource related projects or tasks, maintaining appropriate level of confidentiality when required
Assists with planning employee events, including helping generate ideas, ordering supplies, decorating, etc.
Acts as a general resource for support to all departments by assisting with and completing tasks and projects as requested
Responsible for the general organization and operations of the front office, organizing and ordering office supplies, working with vendors to ensure costs are controlled, coordinating repairs and deliveries for Vending, office equipment and others as needed
Other duties and assignments as assigned by management


Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability

Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
Demonstrated Customer Service skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
Strong negotiation and problem resolution skills
Well organized, ability to prioritize and self-motivated
High level attention to detail and problem-solving ability
The ability to adapt to fast paced; rapid changes, ability to multitask and handle unexpected delays or events while maintaining constant attention to detail
Practice and promote teamwork and servant leadership style within the organization
High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality
EDUCATION

High School diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience within the plastics industry
Manufacturing industry experience
Inventory related experience

The employee is frequently required to stoop, stand, and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. (Typical office/administrative work environment.)

SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS

Work may involve overtime. Requires adherence to deadlines and project completion deadlines



Schedule Typically - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, with overtime as needed.
