The Benefits Analyst assists the organization in establishing best practice benefit and retirement programs. Responsible for strategically maintaining, updating, and administering the various components of the benefit plans for the organization. Accountable for accurate and timely administration of all employee benefit functions and works closely with managers to ensure adherence and compliance with all federal and state laws.
-Administers the health insurance plans for all staff and providers. Communicates plan changes and updates to staff.
-Monitors and maintains the 401(K), 457(b) and Defined Benefit retirement plans.
-Prepares material for Open Enrollment and researches service practices that promote innovation and stewardship – i.e. online live event changes.
-Provides claims management services, developing recommendations for management review when necessary.
-Ensures required labor law posters are displayed in all work areas and are up-to-date.
-Meets with New Hires to review health plans.
-Tracks and processes plan invoices; reviews reports and identifies trends in claim data; presents findings to leadership.
-Compiles required reports and data for various audits as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
-Experience: Two years human resource experience required, preferably in self-insured benefits. Finance or business operations experience may be substituted in lieu of HR experience based on relevance.
-Licenses/Certificates/Registration: PHR or CCP preferred.
-Level of Business Knowledge/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Familiar with Standard Compensation practice and procedures.
