What are we looking for in Client Benefits Coordinator?
The Client Benefits Coordinator is responsible for improving clients’ access to treatment through insurance enrollment and assistance with navigating the billing process. As a certified Navigator for the Washington Healthplanfinder, the Client Benefits Coordinator will assist clients by explaining eligibility for coverage and cost-sharing requirements, helping with completion of applications and making changes to coverage, and informing clients of any tax credits or financial assistance available. Acting as liaison between clients and our Finance department, the Client Benefits Coordinator assists with setting up payment plans, sliding fee options, answering billing questions, and following up on the status of clients’ accounts. This position requires a thorough understanding of the health insurance coverage process and funding source requirements, and exceptional communication skills, and strict adherence to privacy regulations.

Client Benefits Coordinator duties may include:

assisting clients with completion of the Washington Healthplanfinder application, including explaining eligibility, coverage options, and costs
educating clients about how changes in circumstances can affect plan eligibility and providing assistance with maintaining coverage
communicating professionally with clients, Comprehensive staff, and community partners and providing excellent customer service to resolve potential conflicts
monitoring and providing reports on client scheduling metrics and uninsured client capture
communicating with the Finance department on behalf of clients for billing questions and concerns
assisting clients with completing the sliding fee application and reevaluating eligibility annually
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
One year of experience in account billing or client benefits
Must have or be willing to obtain Navigator certification from the Washington Health Benefit Exchange
