Responsible for administration of associate benefits. Provides guidance and assistance to associates on various plans. Develops cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at least possible cost to associate and company. Oversees associate benefits by answering benefits questions, initiating and continuing membership in programs.

Initiates new-hire benefits and changes of information by obtaining, verifying and recording associate information and informing insurance carriers of new or changed information.
Informs associates about benefits by explaining benefit programs and assisting associates in choosing which plans are right for themselves and their families.
Resolves associate questions and problems regarding benefits.
Expedites delivery of benefits by maintaining working relationships with benefits providers and finance department.
Completes benefits billing by reconciling reports; requesting benefits disbursements; reconciling benefit accounts.
Responsible for administration of Worker’s Compensation and tracking of injuries.
Responsible for processing all termination paperwork involving benefits administration.
Serves on interview panel as needed.
Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records and reports, including an efficient filing system.
Builds relationships inside and outside of their department / team to improve ways of working and provide a great guest experience.
Models for the team, a strong work ethic and is visible, available and present for the guest and their team.
Identifies ways to improve workflows and processes to work smarter and increase efficiency.
EXTENT OF JOB AUTHORITY: Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, will act in compliance with statutory requirements, Tribal and Casino Policies and Procedures in personnel management matters.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED FOR POSITION: HS Diploma or GED required. AA or AS degree in human resources, business administration, or public administration or related field required. Prefer BA, BS, or higher degree. Tribal Human Resources Professional Certification is preferred or the ability to obtain within one year.
