Responsible to perform overall maintenance activities of the process equipment, grounds, buildings, utility systems and all other mechanical and electrical systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following examples of duties and responsibilities illustrate the general range of tasks assigned to the position but are not intended to define the limits of required duties. Other essential duties may be assigned consistent with the general scope of the position.
- Assemble and test motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant controls and monitoring instrumentation
- Develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for system or equipment installations, modifications, or expansion
- Rebuild, repair, and calibrate control valves, actuators, positioners and in-line pressure regulators
- Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing and initiate modification or replacement of equipment

Education and/or Experience:
- Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate’s Degree preferred
- Must be able to certify and maintain forklift certification
- ISA Certification preferred
- Electrical Journeyman’s License preferred
- Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills including functionality in Microsoft Office suite of applications

Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume and apply concepts of algebra and geometry
- Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one or small groups
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence effectively
- Must be a team player and supportive and cooperative of management and corporate initiatives
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists

- The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and lifting/carrying over 50 pounds must be done with the assistance of another person(s)
- The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to 100 pounds
- The employee must meet vision requirements including near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- The employee must have a sense of sound, smell, and touch

- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Will participate in on-call after hours rotation
- This position may require the employee to be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required and based on production needs, the company reserves the right to change or modify the schedule
