DSHS FFA Automotive Mechanic
SALARY: $3,792.00 - $4,286.00 Monthly

The Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join the Facilities, Finance and Analytics Administration (FFA) Maintenance and Operations Division. In this role, you will perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on facility vehicles as well as other equipment. Your knowledge and experience will facilitate efficient operations and support our mission to Transform Lives!

Some of what you'll do
• Perform skilled repairs on fleet vehicles, gas and diesel-powered equipment, as well as heavy construction equipment
• Perform maintenance such as changing oil, tune-ups, brake repairs, electrical and fuse systems, tire changing/rotations, and minor bodywork
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, and determine whether materials and repairs are within shop capabilities based on equipment available
• Contact vendors for price quotes and submit for approval
• Maintain an inventory of repair items

Who should apply:
Professionals who have completed a recognized apprenticeship as an automotive or motorized equipment mechanic
Full journey status as an automotive or motorized equipment mechanic in a union
Four years of applicable or equivalent work experience
