This position is responsible for developing, installing, maintaining and supporting instrumentation, SCADA systems and related hardware/software for wastewater and water processes.
100.00% - Position responsibilities include design, development, installation, calibration and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers, process automation field instruments and related hardware/software. Duties include development of computer technologies, implementation of third-party applications and business intelligence strategies; and require competency in and ongoing use of various computer programs and other technologies. On call and emergency response duties as needed or assigned on rotating basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Qualifications - Equivalent to completion of the 12th Grade, with advanced training in electrical maintenance and/or automation/control systems hardware and software. At least two years of some combination of plant operations, plant maintenance or PLC/HMI programming experience, with at least one year of actual experience installing, configuring and supporting field instrumentation hardware and process automation systems. Strong working knowledge of Wonderware Development Studio and GE Machine Edition preferred. Must have a valid driver"s license. Must possess or have the ability to obtain job-required certifications to maintain employment, and pass a City physical and drug screen.
