The Opportunity:
WSDOT is currently seeking a Fiscal Specialist Supervisor who will supervise the Area 1 Maintenance office staff. This position will provide administrative, travel, and fiscal support to staff, crews, and operations in Area 1 maintenance. It is also responsible for establishing office procedures, standards, priorities, and meeting deadlines. This position is expected to consider personal, co-worker, and public safety as the first and foremost objective during the planning a performance of all activities in connection with work assignments.

What to Expect:
This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating office operations to ensure unit goals are met.

Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, you/the Fiscal Specialist Supervisor will:
Establish, implement and manage office procedures
Supervise office staff
Provide clerical support to Maintenance Superintendent and Supervisors
Provide rule and policy guidance

To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required:
High School graduation or equivalent
Valid Washington State Driver’s license
Four (4) years of experience performing complex secretarial duties
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to supervise and direct others work

It is preferred that qualified candidates also have:
Three (3) years of experience at a level equivalent to a Fiscal Specialist 1
Experience supervising/leading work of others
