Water Plant Technician (B Shift) - (2002421)
The Water Plant Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all UPW (Ultra-Pure Water) and WWT (Waste Water Treatment) systems and associated subsystem equipment within the Gresham, Oregon facility.
This position will be on B Shift – Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday (7:00 PM - 7:06 AM).
•Provide support to engineering and operations in the design, installation, testing, operation and maintenance of support equipment.
•Ensure all assigned equipment and associated subsystems are maintained in the following manner:
◦All Preventative maintenance is performed at the appropriate interval and is completed by the assigned due date.
◦All equipment remains in its designed and/or validated state at all times.
◦All equipment operation is in accordance with Federal, State and ON Semiconductor regulations, procedures, and policies.
•Ensure / maintain all assigned equipment areas in a constant state of inspection readiness; specifically, but not limited to, the following:
◦Personnel and Equipment Safety.
◦Compliance to On Semiconductor requirements.
•Identify training deficiencies, provide recommendations for training and where applicable provide training.
•Continuously evaluate all associated Standard Operating Procedures, engineering drawings, and various other controlled documentation for accuracy and applicability. Submit appropriate change requests to supervisor to correct any deficiencies discovered.
•Continuously evaluate maintenance practices to eliminate non productive activities and implement productivity enhancements.
•Perform troubleshooting of pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
•Perform and follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and processes
•Perform Confined Space Entry on an as needed basis.
•Complete preventative maintenance and assigned paperwork in a safe and timely manner following all documentation guidelines.
•Work in close proximity to hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, and low high pressure liquids and gasses, and moving machinery/equipment.
•Coordinate with contractors who perform repairs, modifications, and installations of various equipment.
•Work directly with Facilities, Engineering and various organizations on new system installations or modifications and maximize equipment availability.
•Conduct work in an regulated environment.
•High School Diploma or GED
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 30 feet
•Ability to work overtime or a temporarily modify shift schedule to support operations as needed
•Ability to work B Shift

•Strong interpersonal skills
•Proficiency in both oral and written communication
•Technical degree or certificate
•Experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of a WWT (Waste Water Treatment) system
•Experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of a UPW (Ultra-Pure Water) system
