Job Description:
The Administrative Support, HR/Payroll Support, is responsible for coordinating and maintaining payroll information for hourly employees. In addition, position provides HR and front office support.

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and does not supervise staff. The position may also work closely with plant staff, corporate HR (payroll and benefits), temp agency, benefit vendors, and employment department.

It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. Tree Top has identified personnel that will serve as backups for key personnel in the event that said employee is absent or unavailable. These provisions can be found within the organizational chart. Tree Top may augment duties, including essential functions, at its discretion.)
Prepare all hourly employee payrolls by checking and auditing timekeeping records; creating lists of deductions owed and input before closing payroll; completing and printing payroll reports; giving out checks and acquiring signatures on documents; and setting up new employee information and terminating hourly employees in the payroll system. Oversee timekeeping system, including updating scheduling, job codes, and ensuring payroll is correct.
Provide HR support, which may include: updating hourly employee information in HR system, assisting with the drug and alcohol testing process, assisting with onboarding process, serving as a benefits liaison between corporate benefits administration and hourly employees, and assisting with department initiatives such as open enrollment, training, parties, etc.
Greet and direct callers and visitors. Answer telephone calls, determine nature of business and direct callers to the appropriate designation. Welcome visitors and employees by greeting them and answering and referring questions.
Provide other administrative duties, which may include: maintaining front office area, receiving and distributing mail, coordinating office machine repairs; ensuring employee postings are updated; receiving and distributing mail; maintaining inventory and ordering office supplies.
Assist in maintaining all hourly employees’ schedules in Time Keeper; enter schedules and time-off requests as well as schedule changes.
Have regular attendance and work appropriate number of hours to get the essential functions completed.

Prepare and maintain accurate payroll documents, files, and records.

Use computers and computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, payroll, and timekeeping.
Perform basic mathematical and accounting calculations.

Associate’s degree in Business or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience performing Human Resources, payroll, or related in an office environment.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Constantly works in office environment and occasionally has exposures to a manufacturing/plant environment
Constantly deals with highly confidential information
Frequently works under tight time constraints or with business activities of a seasonal/cyclical nature
Occasionally works mandatory overtime
Occasionally works with dissatisfied or angry customers
Physical requirements of the job:
Frequently lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds
Vision requirements: Constantly uses near vision, far vision, color vision and depth perception
Constantly talks, types, uses repetitive hand motions, listens/uses hearing, and/or sits
Frequently stands, walks, and/or grasps
Occasionally climbs, crouches, pulls, kneels, reaches, pushes, and/or stoops
Types of exposures encountered in the job: Occasionally has exposures to loud machine/equipment noise
