Licensed Plumber

APD Plumbing and Mechanical is quickly growing and expanding and we looking to hire reliable, responsible and ethical licensed plumbers for Greater Grays Harbor, Lewis and Thurston counties for residential and commercial businesses.

We are looking for an experienced plumber to efficiently undertake a variety of plumbing tasks ranging from fixing leak to installing pipes. They are patient individuals with a practical mind and manual dexterity, able to work efficiently with great attention to detail. The goal is to install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases or hot liquids.

Responsibilities

Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
Install and maintain water supply systems
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
Inspect, diagnose malfunctions; repair, maintain, and test plumbing, heating, cooling, and other process piping systems; clear plugged waste lines.
Remove and replace or install all types of plumbing fixtures such as water closets, sinks, drinking fountains, showers, kitchen, laboratory, and other equipment.
Maintain and repair piping, tanks and pressure vessels for fuels, steam, water, air, gases and draining systems; install, service, repair and adjust pumps, ejectors, valves, dishwashers, stills, heat exchangers, and coils.
Construct various types of pipe joints for high and low-pressure systems, including threading, brazing, soldering, and welding.
Cut, fit, fabricate, and assemble a wide variety of articles, materials, and devices including steel, copper, brass, glass, plastic, cast iron, corrosion-resistant pipe, tile, and concrete.
Install fittings, hangers, anchors, and guides.
Installation, testing, repair and maintenance of Med Gas System / Fire Protection / and annual testing of back-flow prevention devices.

Skills

Proven experience as a plumber
Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly with a great deal of patience
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
MUST have valid plumbing license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
