Golden Aluminum is an ESSENTIAL manufacturer, and is OPEN FOR BUSINESS as we manufacture aluminum for the food and beverage packaging industry. Golden Aluminum, located north of Denver, owner of a patented casting process that offers a broad range of alloys, any thickness, any coating and any color aluminum, has an opening for a Machinist/Mechanic who is responsible for maintaining manufacturing standards or specification of our chiller blocks to directly support our aluminum continuous caster.

Some of the responsibilities of a of this position are:
-Machine, assemble, and mechanically adjust copper blocks (used in our Block Casting process)
-Machining includes surface milling, length milling, embossing, etc… to very tight tolerances. (+/- 0.001 mm or >1 millionth of an inch)
-Manage inventory of copper blocks, subassemblies, and associated hardware
-Coordinate shipping/receiving of these blocks with outside vendor for intermediate step in process
-Job is labor intensive. Requires turning wrenches and taking measurements in between milling machine set ups
-Requires solid attention to detail due to the tight tolerances of the block dimensions
-Work area is isolated from the rest of the plant. It is clean and 70 degrees F year round. Not a typical manufacturing plant work environment
-Should be familiar with measuring instruments such as calipers, feeler gauges, and dial indicators
-Work can be repetitive, as the steps are always the same for processing these blocks. Must be organized
-Programming/CNC experience is NOT required, but a definite plus
